Photography and Stuff
February 10, 2007 on 3:15 pm | In Hayden and Laura | No CommentsSo I have a refound hobby. (Is refound a word?) I’ve picked back up photography and the bug has bitten pretty bad. I wouldn’t call myself a pro by any means. However, if you were to judge me based on the gear I have, you’d think I shot for National Geographic as a day job and for ESPN magazine and Rolling Stone on the side. I’ve actually got to get rid of a couple of lenses. I got a tad trigger happy on ebay and bought some lenses. I got some really great deals though, so I’m going to see which of them I like best and sell the rest back.
Learning to take pictures couldn’t have happened at a better time. Now that we’ve got a little one coming right around the corner, the photo skills are going to come in handy. I’m going to torture Haley non stop when it comes to getting her picture taken.
We’re about 2 or 3 weeks out from having the baby. At least that is what we think. Everything is in order. We got the carpets cleaned this week to make absolutely sure that there were no germs on the floor. The only thing we’re lacking now is the baby.
We finished up our baby classes that Methodist Hospital offered this week. We had a really good time during the classes. The funny thing is, of the 12 couples that were in the class, we ended up knowing 3 since they taught with Laura. We were happy to get to meet the other people in the class as well. I could really enjoy hanging out with some of them.
Outside of getting ready for Haley and taking pictures, nothing much else is going on. We’ve had a couple of showers (which Laura will write about shortly). I’ve been working, Laura’s been working, Laura’s been to the doctor twice a week. That’s about it. All there is to do now is wait…and practice taking pictures!
