Packing and Walking
March 22, 2008 on 5:26 pm | In Hayden and Laura | No CommentsWe’re T-minus days to our move! We’ve been packing like crazy, trying to get everything done. We’re boxing everything up, but have opted to get a moving company to do the dirty work on the day of the move. We’re going to be putting in new floors the weekend we move in and figured that doing the actual moving and doing the flooring was just too much sugar for a dime. Hopefully, everything will go as scheduled. I’m sure it won’t, so I guess I should be hoping for patience instead.
Today we went to a walk for Stephanie Vasofsky. The walk was for cervical cancer. Stephanie lived in our neighborhood and recently passed away, leaving behind her husband Randy and a beautiful daugher, Zoe. Stephanie’s birthday was just a few days ago. Stephanie actually helped plan the walk and it was a huge success. I was asked to photograph the event, which I was more than happy to do.
The walk was a huge success. Not sure what the final count was, because there were a lot of registrations on the day of the event, but as of about a week ago, they’d already topped $7,500. Quite impressive. The organization that has been set up is feelteal.org. Stephanie’s website can be found here. Photos from the event can be found on the ‘photos’ tab. For full size photos, shoot me an email.
